2015 Twenty-Sixth Annual Symposium on Health Care Services in New York: Research and Practice

On October 20, GNYHA and the United Hospital Fund held the 26th Annual Symposium on Health Care: Research and Practice in collaboration with major health services organizations in the metropolitan New York region. The Symposium is held each year to bring together providers, policymakers, and researchers to discuss innovative and emerging work that will have an impact on the delivery of care and the promotion of health in the New York region.

Arnold Milstein, MD, MPH, Professor of Medicine and Director of the Clinical Excellence Research Center, Stanford University, delivered the keynote address. Dr. Milstein is a national leader in the acceleration of clinical service innovations that improve the societal value of health care. The Symposium also included a panel session with Jacqueline Delmont, MD, MBA, Chief Medical Officer, Beach Health Partners; Dave A. Chokshi, MD, Assistant Vice President, Ambulatory Care Transformation, New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation; and Walter LeStrange, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, ProHEALTH Medical Management; discussing lessons learned from their efforts to improve the quality of care while reducing its cost.
