HIPAA Trainings

In 2003, the GNYHA Foundation received a grant from the New York State Department of Health under the Health Workforce Retraining Initiative to provide training in two components of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA):

The HIPAA Transaction Standards and Code Sets Training Project
The HIPAA Transaction Standards and Code Sets Training Project focused on training registration and accounting staff in the administrative simplification requirements of HIPAA.
The HIPAA Privacy and Security Training Project
The HIPAA Privacy and Security Training Project focused on training staff in the requirements for transmitting privileged information electronically.
