GNYHA Foundation received funding from the New York State Departments of Health and Labor under the Health Workforce Retraining Initiative (HWRI) grant program to conduct several workforce training programs over the course of two years.

Starting in 2012, GYNHA Foundation commenced four training programs:

• Care Coordination Training
• Interventions to Reduce Preventable Acute Care Transfers in New York (INTERACT) Training
• Infection Prevention Coach Training
• Quality Indicatory Survey Training

GNYHA Foundation has trained 869 front line staff since the program began in January of 2012.
