Funded in part by the United Hospital Fund, the Resident Evaluation Tool on Cultural Competent Care project is designed to develop and pilot-test a Web-based interactive tool to evaluate physician residents' professionalism, cultural competence, and general interpersonal communication skills.
The GNYHA Foundation is collaborating with a physician consultant and ComputerSims to develop this Web-based evaluation methodology for cultural competency.
The tool will be pilot-tested among physician residents at four GNYHA teaching hospitals:
Once the pilot is completed, the GNYHA Foundation will offer the tool to all GNYHA member teaching hospitals.
