In 2008, GNYHA, in partnership with the United Hospital Fund (UHF), received support from the New York State Department of Health (DOH) to develop and implement a hospital collaborative to reduce the incidence of
C. difficile.
Reducing the Incidence of MRSA Infections
GNYHA Foundation has subcontracted with IPRO, through funding from the Center of Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS), as part of a three-year project to reduce the incidence of methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infections in hospitals.
GNYHA/1199SEIU Infection Prevention Coach Training Project
The Infection Prevention Coach (IPC) Training was a unique collaborative project among GNYHA, 1199SEIU, and the 1199SEIU Training and Employment Funds (TEF).
Central Line Associated Bloodstream (CLAB) Infections Collaborative
GNYHA, in partnership with the United Hospital Fund, has identified the reduction of central line-associated bloodstream infections as a model project to help achieve sustainable quality improvement and thus save thousands of lives.
