In 2008, GNYHA, in partnership with the United Hospital Fund (UHF), received support from the New York State Department of Health (DOH) to develop and implement a hospital collaborative to reduce the incidence of C. difficile.

GNYHA Foundation has subcontracted with IPRO, through funding from the Center of Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS), as part of a three-year project to reduce the incidence of methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infections in hospitals.

The Infection Prevention Coach (IPC) Training was a unique collaborative project among GNYHA, 1199SEIU, and the 1199SEIU Training and Employment Funds (TEF).

GNYHA, in partnership with the United Hospital Fund, has identified the reduction of central line-associated bloodstream infections as a model project to help achieve sustainable quality improvement and thus save thousands of lives.
